Crude steel production share in Latin America by country 2023
Brazil is the leading crude steel producer in Latin America, accounting for approximately 55 percent of the region's output in the first eight months of 2023. Mexico ranked second, representing 27 percent of steel production. That year, the production of crude steel in Latin America was estimated at around 58,300 million metric tons.
