According to two surveys held in March 2020, consumers of all ages were likely to spend more on music streaming services as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, with 18 percent of Millennials saying that they believed they would do so, compared to five percent of Boomers. Between the two surveys, the WHO declared COVID-19 to be a pandemic as more and more cases were reported around the globe, and as more individuals practise social distancing and self-isolate, online media sources will likely increase in appeal to those looking to occupy themselves whilst they stay at home.
