Leading social media platforms for online users in Italy 2022
Between 2020 and May 2022, almost nine in ten online users in Italy reported engaging with the video platform YouTube. Meta-owned social platforms followed, with 68 percent of Italian users reporting engaging with Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp in the examined period. TikTok only featured in the third position, with roughly half of respondents reporting to have used the popular short-form video platform in the examined period.
