Value of CAF football player transfer fees 2019-2022, by spending and receipts

As of 2022, the spending by soccer associations under the Confederation of African Football (CAF) aggregated 14.5 million U.S. dollars. On the other hand, receipts from outgoing football players amounted to 71.2 million U.S. dollars. Over the observed period, African soccer association revenue from outgoing transfers was highest in 2019, at 80.3 million U.S. dollars. Moreover, spending peaked in the same year, at 40.8 million U.S. dollars.
