Confidence in the government to address inflation in Italy 2023
At the beginning of 2023, the majority of the respondents considered the measures sanctioned by Giorgia Meloni's government insufficient to combat inflation in Italy, and for protecting the citizens against the increased costs of electricity, methane, and gasoline. On the contrary, only one fourth of the Italians believed that the cabinet performed well in securing them from the higher energy prices, whereas 22 percent of the interviewees did not express any judgement on the executive.
