The vast majority of Georgia Power Company's customers were from the residential sector, with roughly 2.4 million customers in fiscal year 2023. By comparison, the Atlanta based electric utility company had 11,000 industrial customers at that time. Despite the difference in the number of customers, energy sales of the industrial sector were greater than those of the residential sector.
