In 2022, France and Germany represented the leading outbound travel markets in the Netherlands based on the share of departures. That year, these two countries accounted for more than 30 percent of trips abroad by Dutch travelers. Spain, Belgium, and Austria also ranked among the leading outbound travel markets for the Netherlands.
