Store numbers of grocery retail chains in Finland 2018-2022, by chain
The second largest Finnish retail chain K Group, had 1,215 stores in 2022. After the acquisition of Suomen Lähikauppa Oy in April 2016, the number of the K Group stores reached momentarily almost 1,500. However, in the following year the number decreased to 1,284 stores.
S Group, the competitor of the K Group, had 1,073 stores as of 2022. The stores of both the K and the S Group consist of hypermarkets, supermarkets as well as smaller local supermarkets and convenience stores.
