Major information sources for coronavirus first news in rural China 2020
According to a survey on the coronavirus COVID-19 impact on rural China in late January 2020, national news and provincial TV channels were the major information sources of the epidemic for residents in the rural areas in the country. Around one-third of the respondents were first informed about the virus outbreak via online sources, such as social media and video streaming platforms.
