Argentina: market value of successful tech companies 2020
In the startup world, Argentina is known for being the crib of several tech companies that became household names in Latin America and worldwide. Some of them boomed even before the term 'unicorn' was coined. That is the case of e-commerce giant, Mercado Libre, whose market capitalization value was estimated at more than 75 billion U.S. dollars on December 1, 2020. However, not all of these successful (former) startups remain seated in their country of origin. Auth0, a software company from Argentina, now headquartered in the United States, achieved a market valuation of over 1.9 billion dollars on July 14, 2020. Since then, the startup is also considered a unicorn company.
