In 2021, hunting was an activity that attracted more men than women in France. According to a survey made by the French national hunting federation (Fédération Nationale des Chasseurs), over ten percent of French men declared hunting or having hunted in the past. For women, this figure amounted to three percent.
Hunting does not appear to be a widely practiced activity in the country, as over 90 percent of the population declares on average never having gone hunting in their lives.
