The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic resulted in many uncertainties regarding tourist travel behavior in spring and summer 2021. Caution over booking vacations rose among travelers in France. A survey conducted in April 2021 revealed 74 percent of French travelers considered accommodation cleanliness a main concern when choosing a summer holiday destination.
