Format preference in book consumption in France 2022
In early 2022, the ACPM commissioned a study in order to examine the role of paper in the digital everyday life of French readers. In this context, the respondents were asked whether they read books predominantly in printed or digital version. The study found that the vast majority (approximately 80 percent) of French readers preferred reading all types of genres predominantly in printed version, no matter if they are reading art books, novels or comic books. In comparison, less than ten percent of French readers consume these genres in digital version.
