Consumer attitudes towards paying more for plant-based leather in the UK 2021
According to a 2021 survey of consumers in the United Kingdom (UK) who purchase new clothing items, the willingness to pay more for plant-based leather than animal leather was conditional. Most consumers wanted the quality, sustainability, or ethics of the product to be proven before they would consider spending more on the item. Roughly 15 percent of respondents said that they would pay the same for plant-based leather as they would for animal leather.
