ART coverage among people living with HIV in Latin America & the Caribbean 2021
In 2021, an estimated 85 percent of people living with HIV in Haiti received antiretroviral therapy, the highest share among 24 Latin American and Caribbean countries. Peru followed, with 80 percent of its population living with HIV receiving antiviral treatment that year. In contrast, less than half of people living with the virus in Belize and Jamaica were under antiretroviral treatment.
