Leading countries of companies reporting on social risks 2022
As of 2022, the United Kingdom (UK) had the largest concentration of companies reporting on social risks within the ESG framework. South Africa came in second place with reporting levels just three percent behind the UK. Social risks are primarily related to the stakeholders of the business. Social risks facing firms may include the well-being of stakeholders such as company employees and the members of the community the firm operates in. It is important for firms to consider the health and protection of their stakeholders by identifying and, when possible, preventing social risks.
