Netherlands: annual ridership of The Hague's public transit company 2016-2022
The annual number of passengers transported by the public transit company in The Hague, Netherlands (HTM) increased gradually between 2013 and 2019. In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the transit ridership in the Hague dropped by 47 percent compared with 2019 levels. In 2021, HTM's ridership increased slightly and stood at 57 million passengers and increased further to 78 million passengers in 2022.
HTM also operates public transportation services in Rijswijk, Leidschendam, Voorburg, Delft, Zoetermeer, Wateringen, Pijnacker and Nootdorp, the so-called Conurbation Haaglanden.
