Share of online shoppers bracketing in the U.S. 2022, by age group
A 2022 study revealed that online shoppers in the United States under 30 years old are more inclined to purchase multiple items with the intention of returning at least one, with 61 percent reporting doing so at least once in the year before the survey. In contrast, only 26 percent of online shoppers aged 40 and above reported bracketing purchases during the same period.
