Consumers shopping for groceries in discount stores by macro-region in Italy 2023

According to a survey conducted in 2023, close to 60 percent of individuals living in the islands in Italy preferred shopping for groceries in discount stores to other store formats. On the other hand, among those coming from the central part of the country, 29.3 percent favored this format over other options.
