Distribution of respondents' time spent on news sources MENA 2022, by country
According to a survey on the news industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, respondents in Egypt said that social media comprises 47 percent of their weekly time spent on news in 2022. This was also the case for 42 and 31 percent of respondents from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, respectively. Respondents in all three countries said that they spend the least amount of time on television when consuming news.
