The number of employees in the wholesale and retail trade industry incl. repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles in Sweden increased by 89,028 employees (+17.99 percent) since the previous year. In total, the number of employees amounted to 583,924 employees in 2021.
According to Eurostat employed persons are all persons aged 15 and over who performed work, even for just one hour per week, for pay, profit or family gain during the reference week or were not at work but had a job or business from which they were temporarily absent because of, for instance, illness, holidays, industrial dispute, and education or training.
