This statistic displays the distribution of participation in cultural activities in Scotland in 2017, by gender. Among respondents, 58 percent of male and 71 percent of female adults read for pleasure, which did not include newspapers, magazines or comics, whereas 29 percent of male and 26 percent of female adults used a computer or social media to produce creative work of any kind.
