Primary energy import dependence in the UK 1970-2022

Import dependency of primary fuels is the relation between the net imports and the gross inland consumption of primary fuels. The calculating formula is: (Net imports x 100) / Gross inland consumption. An import dependency of 100 percent means that all the gross inland consumption of primary fuels was covered by imports, a dependency of 50 percent means half of the consumption was covered by imports.
