IPI on yen basis for all commodities in Japan 2017-2022
In 2022, the Japanese yen based import price index (IPI) for all traded commodities increased by 69 index points compared to the base year 2020. It was the highest import price level within the most recent six years, impacted by the weakening of the yen starting at the beginning of the year.
