Cross border firms: employment level in Ireland & Northern Ireland Q4 2016 - Q4 2017
This statistic shows the employment levels of businesses with cross border sales in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (UK) from the fourth quarter of 2016 to the fourth quarter of 2017. The results are based on a surveys of businesses on an all-island basis, taking place during or after the end of each quarter.
Over the time frame observed, an increasing number of businesses said their employment level had stayed the same, at 77 percent in the last quarter of 2016, compared to 88 percent in the last quarter of 2017. In the final quarter of 2017, a further nine percent of respondents stated that their employment level had increased, while two percent said it had decreased.
