Mexico: quarterly textile and clothing share of GDP from manufacturing 2019-2022
The contribution of the textile and clothing industry in the gross domestic product (GDP) of the Mexican manufacturing sector showed little fluctuation between 2019 and 2022. As of the third quarter of 2022, this industry contributed 2.9 percent of the manufacturing sector's GDP. Clothing registered a higher contribution to the GDP than the textile sector during that period, accounting for 1.7 and 1.2 percent, respectively. In terms of value, the contribution of the textile and apparel industry to the manufacturing GDP in Mexico amounted to roughly 92 billion Mexican pesos.
