Per capita consumption of meat in EU-27 2000-2032, by type
Between 2000 and 2032, the per capita consumption of pork and poultry was consistently higher than the amount of mutton and beef consumed in the European Union. Between 2020 to 2022, Europeans consumed 32.4 kilos of pork, while the per capita consumption of beef was significantly lower, at 10.3 kilos in total. The per capita consumption of both pork and beef were forecast to decrease over the following years, while the amount of poultry consumed was expected to grow.
