In 2021, the salaries of female directors and producers of film and stage productions in Sweden amounted to 85 percent of the salaries of their male counterparts. Thus, for every Swedish krona a male director or producer made in 2021, a female director or producer made 0.85 kronor. During the seven years prior, women in that field earned equal or higher wages than men.
