According to a weekly survey conducted by GEM Partners throughout 2022, "Spy x Family" was the most popular content among users of subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services in Japan. It was watched by 6,526 respondents during that year. The anime series was followed in popularity by "Demon Slayer" and "One Piece."

***Respondents were users of the following SVOD services: Abema Premium, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, dTV, dAnimeStore, FOD, Hulu, J:COM On Demand, Netflix, Paravi, Rakuten TV, Spoox, Telasa, U-Next, Anime Hodai, Disney+, Bandai Channel, Hikari TV Video Service.

The source did not differentiate between anime and live-action versions, or between different works of the same title.
