Costa Rica: consumer spending growth May 2020, by product category
According to a survey carried out in Costa Rica, 67 percent of respondents spent less money on food and beverage in May 2020. In contrast only 7 percent spent more money. In regard to cleaning supplies, 37 percent of respondents expressed spending more money on these type of products.
Meanwhile, over 90 percent of respondents, the vast majority, claimed to spent less in alcohol, clothing, electronic device and perfumes and cosmetics.
