Share of French people who used their kitchen more during lockdown 2020, by age group
Within French households, the kitchen is generally considered as a central room in the family life. Yet it seems that this conception has been reinforced by the restrictions implemented to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. French people, compelled to stay at home, have spent more time in their kitchen. This is particularly true for the 18-24 year olds, an age group in which seven out of ten people said they had used the kitchen more during the containment period.
