COVID-19 impact on hotel occupancy rate in Vietnam 2019-H1 2020
In the first half of 2020, the hotel occupancy rate in Vietnam was at 29 percent, indicating a significant decrease from the hotel occupancy rate of 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the growth of the Vietnamese tourism and accommodation sector. Since the first outbreak in early 2020, Vietnam has recorded around 80 percent decline in international arrivals.
