Car purchasing intention in selected countries and regions by vehicle type 2022
In the European Union, over half of the respondents reported intending to purchase a hybrid or electric vehicle should they need to change their car or buy one for the first time, a share similar to that recorded in the United Kingdom. China was the only country surveyed where the share of participants reporting electric vehicle purchasing intentions was over 50 percent. China was the country with the largest estimated plug-in electric vehicle fleet worldwide.
