When asked if they prefer to purchase produce loose rather than in packaging, U.S. consumers from the Northeast were more likely to agree. 60 percent of Northeast consumers prefer loose produce. In the Southern region of the U.S. only about 52 percent of consumers prefer loose produce over package produce.
