In 2022, a survey on online thrifting revealed that U.S. adults from ages 18 to 24 were most likely to have used online second-hand stores, with 28 percent reporting that they had used such sites for buying clothes and enjoyed the experience. In comparison, adults aged 55 and older were the least likely, with 87 percent having never used an online second-hand shop and having no plans to do so.
