Public opinion on human rights abusers and sport 2022
In 2022, a large share of adults in selected countries in Europe and in the United States believed that countries with poor human rights records should not be allowed to compete in international sporting events. While 45 percent of respondents in Spain and Italy agreed with this sentiment, the figure stood at 47 percent in Germany.
