A majority in all the 29 countries surveyed agreed with the statement that people should be able to seek refuge in other countries to escape from war or persecution, even in their countries. However, while nearly 90 percent of New Zealanders agreed with the statement, only 55 percent in Singapore and South Korea did the same. In these two countries, there was also a significant share of the respondents who disagreed with the statement.
