Planned Christmas spending compared to 2022 Australia 2023, by state or territory
In a survey conducted about Christmas shopping expectations among Australian consumers from July to August 2023, over 40 percent of respondents in the state of Tasmania said they planned to spend less during the 2023 holiday period. In comparison, only 21 percent of respondents in Western Australia indicated that they expected to spend less than they had in 2022.
