EU-27: apparent consumption of finished steel products per capita 2009-2022
In 2022, apparent steel use in the European Union had reached 321 kilograms of finished steel products per capita, a seven percent decrease compared to the previous year. In 2012, steel use dropped slightly after a period of growth. From 2013 onwards, however, it steadily increased until 2018, when it peaked at 353 kilograms of finished steel products per capita, then started fluctuating in the following years.
