Economic inactivity monthly rate in Italy 2019-2023, by gender
In Italy, economically inactive women are almost double that of men. As of May 2023, 24.5 percent of male and 42.8 percent female population was economically inactive. Economically inactive people are not classified in the labour force, which means that this part of poplation is not classified neither as employed nor as unemployed.
