Japan: otaku spending on hobbies by category 2023

According to a survey conducted in July 2023 in Japan, otakus that were into popular idols spent on average about 81.1 thousand Japanese yen indulging in their hobby in the past year. This was, according to the survey, one of the most costly otaku-related hobbies.
