COVID-19 impact on spa visits worldwide 2020
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic had a significant impact on the spa and wellness industry, as establishments were either forced to close, or to implement strict hygiene standards and regulations for their employees and guests. During a March 2020 survey among spa industry professionals worldwide, 31 percent of respondents anticipated that the number of spa visits during the pandemic would change by more than 70 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
