U.S. mobile gamers downloading apps after encountering in-app ads 2022, by game genre
According to a survey conducted during the second quarter of 2022 among mobile gamers in the United States, among the 16 percent of respondents who reported discovering and downloading new apps via advertising displayed in the mobile apps they were using, 40 percent of mobile gamers discovered new apps after encountering in-app ads on simulation apps. Family gaming apps were indicated by 37 percent of respondents as the apps where they encountered ads that lead them to download new apps. An additional 29 percent of respondents reported having discovered new apps to download after being prompted with an ad seen in casino or word gaming apps, respectively.
