TV GEC channel ad volume growth India 2022-2023
Advertising volumes for the general entertainment content (GEC) genre in television grew by five percent in the first half of 2023 over the same period in the previous year. Over a two year span, advertising in GEC television channels grew at a compound annual growth rate of nine percent. The genre also surpassed news channels to become the leading TV genre in terms of ad volume share in 2023.
