Number of travel companions of medical tourists South Korea 2017-2022
According to a survey conducted in South Korea in late 2022, foreign patients traveled with a group of around 2.6 persons on average, including the patient. Over 34 percent of patients traveled with one other person, while 26.5 percent went by themselves.
