Number of auto rental enterprises in Japan FY 2011-2020
As of March 31, 2021, the number of automobile rental businesses in Japan reached a decade high of approximately 12.43 thousand, increasing steadily from around 8.15 thousand at the end of fiscal 2011. Car rental agencies offering passenger cars were the most common type, with roughly 9.66 thousand businesses monetizing nearly 410 thousand vehicles.
