According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea in November 2023 on consumers holiday shopping behavior, around 52.26 percent of respondents answered that they had spent or planned on spending more money on holiday shopping compared to the previous year. Close to 45.7 percent of respondents stated they planned on spending less.
