Lowering the price was considered to be a major measure needed to increase the processing of organic vegetables in the food manufacturing industry in Japan as revealed in a survey conducted in 2021. Over 41 percent of food processors stated that the price changes would be an incentive to use more organic produces, whereas only close to 11 percent considered quality improvements to differentiate organic vegetables from general produces a necessary step.
