Diamond gem production in Africa as share of global production 2022, by country
As of 2022, Botswana held the largest share in the global diamond gem production compared to other African countries. The country accounted for around 21.6 percent of the output. Following this were Angola and South Africa, with approximately 9.6 percent and 5.3 percent of the diamond gem production worldwide, respectively. Overall, Africa was responsible for close to half of the global diamond gem production in the said year.
