Signing up for Netflix and Disney+ after launch of ad-funded tier in the U.S. 2022
According to a survey from September 2022, the impact of Netflix and Disney+ launching an ad-supporting tier on the likelihood of signing up for the respective platform was very low in the U.S., with over 40 percent of respondents saying that their opinion of the services had not changed. However, non-subscribers were more likely to subscribe to an ad-supported version of Netflix than to one of Disney+.
